SFR, number 1 in 4G site activations for the 3rd consecutive quarter

According to the Observatoire 2G/3G/4G released today by ANFR, the National Frequencies Agency, SFR remains the operator having activated the greatest number of new 4G sites, with 1,256 4G radio sites activated during the 2nd quarter of 2016.

As the first operator to launch 4G in France, SFR continues to expand its coverage across the territory and deliver renewed performance. Indeed, SFR takes the lead in 4G site openings and records a production record for the third consecutive quarter.

Between October 2015 and June 2016, SFR has opened 3,321 new 4G sites, thereby increasing its total number of active 4G sites by almost 80%.

Boasting the country’s foremost fibre-optic network (FTTB/FTTH) with 8.1 million eligible connections* and a first-rate mobile network, SFR seeks to maintain its sustained growth, as well as its large-scale investments, which will enable it to develop the national leader in the convergence of Ultra High Speed Landline-Mobile networks.
