SFR number one mobile network for the fith consecutive year

SFR provides its more than 20 million* customers and foreign visitors passing through France with the best mobile telephony network in terms of coverage and connection speeds. 81 % of the population covered by 3G/3G+ (end 2009), SFR is number one mobile network in 2008, for the fith consecutive year (ARCEP pool*).

SFR’s performance is above all the result of its major programme of network investments. This has meant optimizing the quality and scope of coverage, both for GSM/GPRS and UMTS/HSDPA (for 3G/3G+). 

1.3 billion euros was invested in 2008 alone in the development of networks and information systems (facilities and equipment of access).

*In 2008, SFR is 1st tie at the end of the annual survey of the Regulatory Authority Electronic Communications and Posts on the service quality of mobile networks in France. SFR is 31 times 1st  or tied on 37 criteria tested
